Old Vine Wine Masterclass Series

The Old Vine Conference is proud to partner with the Local Wine School network to launch a nationwide programme dedicated to the appreciation and understanding of old vine wines. From September to November 2025, 17 Local Wine Schools across the UK will host the Old Vine Wine Masterclass Series, bringing the stories and flavours of historic vineyards to wine lovers nationwide.

The series will feature wines from six renowned international producers: Ken Forrester Wines (South Africa), Yalumba (Australia), Catena Zapata (Argentina), Château de Sabazan/Plaimont (France), Juan Gil (Spain), and Feudi di San Gregorio (Italy). Each is a leader in protecting old vineyards and ensuring that their unique cultural and viticultural legacy endures.

Consumers attending these masterclasses will gain a deeper understanding of what makes old vines special: their resilience, their contribution to vineyard biodiversity, and their ability to produce wines of striking individuality and complexity. Participants will explore how vine age influences wine style, why old vines are vital to sustainability, and the importance of preserving them for future generations.

This is a rare opportunity for wine lovers to taste extraordinary wines while learning directly from expert educators who champion the living heritage of old vines.
